Okay, so recently I was asked what my top 5 bands were that I would want to see this year. I really never had thought about it and it's super strange because one of the bands I listed was playing the week after I was asked this question and I had no idea but the person asking happed to know! But then it was rescheduled as well as another show being postponed that I was super excited for. GOOD NEWS though, they both were rescheduled on days I should be able to go. And I looked up another one of the bands and they are playing coming up super soon too...
First up the band I had listed in conversation of when I was asked who I wanted to see was WHITE REAPER! I just started listening to them within this year, they kept popping up on Spotify and I dug the sound almost every time they played because I kept looking to see who it was and after that happed 5 times I added them to a playlist. That's actually how I discovered these next two bands as well.
White Reaper was supposed to play earlier this month but the show has been switched to November 11th at the Smiling Moose.

I also discovered Aesthetic Perfection on Spotify the same way, they are like a creepy dance goth band and I just can not stop listening. My favorite song is called The Ones it's pretty creepy,
"Coming in the night and take your teeth away, Now sew up your mouth, and go to sleep, 'cause We'll be there soon to break your heart and spite your face"
On my drive back to Pittsburgh the other night I was jamming out and was like I hope these guys are coming soon, popped over to their Spotify and to my surprise they are playing
October 2nd at Howlers!!
They just dropped a new album too called, Into the Black. It is a little different then the previous albums but I can say the like scream sining in some of the songs are just like so fucking good, I was totally blow away by the sound, I highly recommend it and I will have to listen to the album more though-out the next few weeks to get ready for this show!
Also I just realized I need to start watching music videos way more for the songs and bands I like so much!

I don't have too much to say yet about Simple Creatures, I pretty much just discovered them two days ago when their new song Special started playing. It's like a weird kinda dancy song, I don't really know how to describe it but I really loved it, so I added all their songs to my playlist I have with all these bands and realized that I had already been listening to one of their other songs for quite a bit, Adrenalin (that features Mark Hoppus of Blink 182) that's why I probably loved it so much to begin with. I totally forgot that though, until I just looked up the music video. It is a very weird but cool music video, I should be doing this outside of work so I could make reaction videos to the music videos, but I'm motivated to write, right now lol! WAIT A MINUTE HOLD THE DAMN PHONE, seriously my reaction to this is amazing he's not featured it is his band as well as Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low!! WTF no wonder this sounds so good. Also totally proving my point I need to watch music videos more. SERIOUSLY I don't know what I do in life that keeps me to busy to be up to date on all the music knowledge... WTF TRISH! (sorry I'm adding things in so this may all sound out of order but it's how my mind works!) I betya Barbara already knew all of this! ALSO The Special song music video is to DIE for, sock puppets, I think they just shot up to number 1 on this list!!! Two idols already doing a thing fuck YEAH man!!! I am overwhelmed right now!
I also really like that on Spotify they have videos that play with their music. Which is a newer feature on there at is super cool. Oh I also really love their artwork of the halloween vamp teeth. And apparently I had much more to say about them then I thought! Currently I do not see any shows in town for Simple Creatures.

Next Palaye Royale, I think I wrote about them before I started listening to them about a year ago and was instantly obsessed. They seem to be a bit more known then the other bands I've mentioned so far. I discovered them by looking up who was the actual singing voice behind Andy Black's character Johnny in American Satan, and it was Remington from Palaye Royale. ALSO defiantly give a listen to the American Satan soundtrack of The Relentless! Also I got told last week while we were at Kennywood that my makeup reminded a younger girl of Remington and I can see it, I thought of that at some point. But defiantly didn't know that when I started wearing the X or cross on my face, but it's a cool coincidence. I thought it was super adorable the girl said she liked my vest, then somehow noticed my super tiny Black Veil Bridge's pin and was talking to me about Andy and then said I looked like Rem, and her Mom was like "oh man, don't get her started" and my boyfriend had no idea what she was talking about but it made my night!!
The band is made up of 3 brothers, which I always think is super cool when bandmates are related or have known each other their whole lives! To describe them, I always have a hard time doing that with bands, but it's almost like old school rock n roll but new, and you can dance to it, they have a few different styles between songs. Their newest Fucking With My Head is a pretty good one to jam out too, but I really can't pick a favorite song I just love them all. Their music videos are beautifully done as well!! Unfortunately, I do not see any local shows coming up for these guys and I missed them last year because they were playing on my Mom's 50th Birthday and no way was I missing that!!!
These guys always reminding me how much I should have been a rock star, ha, bands like this just are doing everything right and I wish I could be part of something like that. The beautiful fashion, rad songs, and super sick music videos, just 100% yes! Just watching the Fucking With My Head music video now too. Sooooooo good!

Okay, now that I got the first half taken care of I can jump into writing the second half. This is taking me a good few hours to put together, especially since I'm at work but also because I keep getting distracted by music videos and looking up things about the bands! Okay here we go onto bands I've listened to a while or more like forever that I am seeing soon!
Kicking it off with Angels and freaking Airwaves!! You have no idea how pumped I am for this, I have loved Tom DeLonge pretty much my entire life. I looked up to him as a role model and just one of my favorite all time musicians. I loved that he did so much more then just Blink 182 and his sense of humor drew me in. He's one of the reasons I liked space, I was like Tom DeLonge has a space sleeve I need to have space tattoos, and now here I am a spacebat! I've seen Blink 182 once with Tom, I will not see them without (sorry I'm bitter). I did see AVA at warped tour one year and battled my way to the front row, and you know I was also up front at that Blink show. I also don't think I've ever paid more for a ticket than that Blink show they were also with MCR so you know I wad dead! I have some pretty awesome photos from that show and the warped tour some where!! Probably on my MySpace haha! So yes, we are going to Cleveland Sep 18th for the AVA show And and I are going with Filmburgh's Wes. We will most likely make some sort of vlog about our trip and the show!! SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!! Also they posted recently they will be announcing more dates and hopefully they will come to Pittsburgh so I can see them twice. This is AVA's first time touring in I think 7 years? Maybe more.
I also started reading one of Tom's book series called Poet Anderson and I highly recommend it. I think I wrote a blog about it or at least started to. It's about dream walkers, and I had to take a break between books because I already have crazy dreams and reading it was throwing me all out of whack even more then normal. BUT it is so good I have to keep reading. He also has some other books out that I will need to check out once I finish up the books out in the Poet series! Oh and if your not that into reading, he has an animation out of the same story, I actually like the book way better, as most people do when they read a book then watch the movie.

Now to The Distillers, this is another band I've listened to pretty much forever, not as long as Blink but one of my all time favorite female fronted bands, right up there with the Horrorpops (that just got an instagram so I think they will be touring again soon, at least lets hope so). Brody is just like a totally bad ass along in line also with like Joan Jett. Total punk rock bad ass bitch. I talked about The Distillers in my very first ever LiLBaT Playlist, about female vocalist. I believe I've seen them before, before I really got into them so much but I'm not 100% on that one. I've been wanting to see them since like the 9th grade so 2004ish?? They were supposed to play Pittsburgh about a month ago buy the guitarist was injured and they had to postpone. They will now be playing October 8th at Mr. Smalls, with The Casualties!!!
This makes it just so much better because I would obviously also love The Casualties, I used to write in the style of their logo some point in high school, and of course no one could read it but I thought it was super cool to do so. We had to make shirts for some class, I don't remember the context but I made us all shirts with that font saying Marshmellow Mofia? I wish I could remember the rest of that story. If you were part of that and read this please remind me! Also super bummed I have no idea where my shirt ended up. This is all nostalgia here, I remember seeing The Casualties at one of my first warped tours, I have pictures of them. I used the picture of them I think as the front page to I think my senior project in high school, or quite possibly the paper I wrote about moshing for gym class. Listen I am starting to get disappointed in myself here, my life was Buffy/Music/Warped Tour as a teen, and as music is still such a huge part this blog is making me feel like I'm slacking off. Also I wish I started vloging back then, it was a bit before vloging was a thing but ahhh I would love to see 15-19 year old me talking all nerdy about this stuff. I probably do still have the papers and projects somewhere, I am kind of a hoarder all things like that. Wow okay that took off in a whole direction!! I can not wait for this show, I am getting more pumped by writing this!!
(I hope someone is actually reading this with the amount of time and excitement I'm putting into this)!!

Alright now the rest can be wrapped up here pretty easily, I'm not going to go into deep stories with these ones... Hawthone Heights will be playing November 19th at the Roxian. If you know me already you know they are my favorite band, and probably the band I've seen the most and have the most merch from and even have tattoos of. I'm and EMO WEIRDO forever and ever, and have wrote about them before and should be doing something about my tattoos probably soon, as well as hopefully getting my The Used tattoo some time soon, I haven't got a tattoo in a good long while. Also I would kill to see The Used play again!
Motionless In White's new album " " is pretty sick, I would love to see them live again. The first time I saw them I really hadn't listened to them much. A lot of the times I don't really notice bands until I do see them live. They put on an awesome show along side In This Moment who I would also love to see again, I was blow away from their performance. Haven't really listened to them in awhile now that I'm thinking about that. No shows for MIW near that I see, it does look like ITM will be in Cleveland and Hersey PA in October.
Ghost is also playing Hersey in October and I wish that we could goto that but I'm really thinking that that is not possible. But hopefully they will come closer on their next tour, we had a really great time when we saw them a year and half ago!
And to wrap it up Tiger Army will be at Mr. Smalls October 9th the day after The Distillers and The Casualties. I will hopefully get to go but definitely the day before is more important to me. I don't have any crazy long stories about Tiger Army but love rockabilly and that kind of show is always a good time. They also remind me of one of my high school best friends so that is always a fun memory! And anothe band that reminds me of that friend and pretty much my entire high school experience Comeback Kid is playing September 16th at The Rex. A little story about Comeback Kid, I remember driving through the Erie Cemetery playing Wake The Dead and taking myspace pictures with the friend I had mentioned. I didn't really listen to them all that much but saw them pretty much any time they played up in Erie/Edinboro during my high school years. I was typically there for Jesus Wept. Oh man, I wish they would get back together for a show that would be like a whole fun kind of reunion! Much more so then just a normal high school reunion with all the kids in your own school. I miss the Erie mid to late 2000s scene!!
Okay so this has been a really long blog brought to
you by the mind and heart of BatTrishCrazy!!!
We covered a wide range of genres, new, old, and super old favorites, music that pretty much made me who I am today and music that still influences my life or just music I jam out to often!!
Please, Please, Please if you read this please leave a comment even just saying read!
So I know if its worth writing this all out!
Which one of these bands do you want to see the most?
Which shows will you be at?
Were you just as surprised about Simple Creatures as me?
What music video did you like best?
Tell me a story about one of these bands if you have them!!
Most importantly, should I make a video talking about everything I just wrote out?! Or what part of this would you want me to talk about in a video?!!
Thanks for reading!!
